When making dining reservations online does my card get charged right away? If so, is there a way to get my DVC discount? If I call to make reservations instead do I still have to give them my card information? Thank you!

Hi Valeri! Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel. A credit card is sometimes required for advanced dining reservations as a place holder. Don't worry your card won't be charged before you actually dine at the restaurant, unless you either don’t show up for your reservation or cancel after 11:59 PM Eastern Time on the day before your arrival. So if you have any doubt that you won't make your reservation be sure to cancel well in advance.

Disney Vacation Club members do receive 10-20% off discounts when dining at certain restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort. To receive your discount present your member ID card to your server when you order.

I hope that helps answer your question as you plan your next magical trip to Walt Disney World Resort.
