Hi! When making dining reservations, do we need to include our 2 year old in the reservation count? For example, we have 8 total people dining, one is our non-ticketed 2 year old. Do we make the reservation for 7 or for 8 people? Thanks!!

    Hi Terra!

This is an excellent question as many guests often get confused about how they should treat the younger members of their family when it comes to reservations.

All of the Disney Restaurants that require reservations will need for you to make the reservation to include EVERY single member of your party. That includes the infants and children under 3 years of age. The reason behind this is that although they know the child is not on a dining plan or will likely eat much, they will still need to know the size of a table for the party. They don't' want to squish your family together to add a child and they can't have anyone sitting away from a table that might restrict the aisles used by the wait staff. It is for your comfort and the safety inside the dining establishment.

Sometimes when you go to make a reservation for 8 it can be hard as most restaurants don't have many large tables. If you are not finding reservations available then drop down and try for two tables of 4.  When you check in see if they can put you together or at least side by side.

Enjoy all of your Disney dining. I can't wait to hit some of my favorites soon as we travel there on Sunday!
