I am making dining reservations, etc., for an October trip. On the official calendar, it shows that Magic Kingdom is closing at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, Oct. 22. This is not a Mickey's Halloween Party night. Could this be incorrect? Thanks!

    Hi Susan!

It sounds like you are planning an autumn visit to Walt Disney World Resort! Fall is the perfect time to visit because the weather will be amazing and there are some fun special events in the theme parks, Disney Resort hotels and Disney Springs. I hope you are planning on enjoying the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival because it is one of my favorites. I love to try all of the tasty treats at the Global Marketplaces throughout World Showcase!

As you know, on select evenings in the fall, Magic Kingdom closes early to celebrate Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. You are correct that October 22 is not one of this year's party nights, but Magic Kingdom is still closing at 6:00 p.m. There are occasionally evenings during the year when the theme park will close early for other special events or private events and it looks like October 22 may be a private event evening where it will close earlier than normal.

In my experience, Park Hours do occasionally change as your trip approaches, so I recommend that you continue to watch Park Hours to get the latest information if it changes. Also, keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for news and announcements about things you will be able to enjoy during your vacation!

Come back to see us if we can help you again as you continue planning. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
