Hi there, Erica. Welcome to planDisney! Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by with your question for us.
I’m delighted to see you’re heading to the
Happiest Place on Earth in early January. What a magical way to start off the new year and set a wonderful tone for what’s to come in 2026!
I see you’re planning to dine at a table service restaurant during your upcoming trip. At the Disneyland Resort, many dining locations have a plant-based section on the menu which can also be found on the
Disneyland Mobile App, and plant-based items are also denoted by a leaf icon on printed menus.
When you’re making a
dining reservation, it’s a good idea to mark eggs, fish, milk, and shellfish as
ingredients your meal should be created without. Although not everyone in your party is vegan, it is okay to specify this in the dietary request section when making your dining reservation. This will bring attention to your server at
Blue Bayou Restaurant, and a chef will likely speak with your party once you’ve seated. That way, you’ll be provided with safe recommendations and modifications to your meals as needed. My son has a peanut allergy and he is the only one in the family with dietary restrictions. However, we indicate this on our dining reservations every time and we get to speak with a chef when we dine at a table service restaurant to go over my son’s allergy and discuss any modifications to the dishes.
I hope this information is helpful for you, Erica. Please don’t hesitate to visit us again on
planDisney if you have more trip-planning questions as it gets closer to your trip.
Have a magical day,
Kiki
