When making character dining reservations at a restaurant inside one of the parks do we also have to have park admission? Are there character dining options where park admission is not required? Finding an opening in the park we are attending is tough

    Welcome back, Katie!

You are correct that if you plan to eat at a restaurant inside a theme park, you must have valid theme park admission. While dining inside the theme park is convenient, there are several Walt Disney World Resort hotel restaurants that offer character meals. Here are a few of my favs:

         • Best Friends Breakfast at ‘Ohana is a family-style breakfast with Mickey, Pluto, Lilo and Stitch.
         • Decide between a Supercalifragilistic Breakfast or Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner or both at 1900 Park Fare
         • Mickey's Backyard BBQ is an all-you-care-to-enjoy BBQ dinner buffet and show with Mickey and Pals.
         • Beach Club Breakfast Buffet at Cape May Café offers an all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet with Goofy, Donald and Minnie.
         • Enjoy a dinner buffet with Disney characters at Garden Grove or  a yummy Good Morning Character Breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays.

I hope this helps with your planning! Keep checking for availability, as I have been able to find last minute availability in the days leading up to my trips. Also, please note that character appearances are subject to change without notice. Visit us again with other questions you may have! We are hEAR to help!
