when making advanced dining reservations do you have to give a credit card then and is it charged anything at that time

    Hello Cindy!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Isn’t it great that you can secure reservations at your favorite dining locations at the Walt Disney World Resort up to 180 days in advance? It is very simple to make advance dining reservations! Simply book online, use the My Disney Experience mobile app, or call (407) 939-3463. You do not need to have a Disney Resort hotel reservation or even tickets to make dining reservations, so you can start planning ahead! Please note that you will need tickets to dine at restaurants located inside the theme parks.

When you make a reservation you are required to provide a credit card number simply to secure your reservation. In case you do not show up or do not cancel within the cancellation period, your credit card will be charged a per person fee, which is usually $ 10.00. However, dinner shows, fireworks dessert parties, and certain locations such as Cinderella’s Royal Table require advance payment. You will be informed at the time of booking if you must pay then or if your credit card will only be used to secure it. When you simply secure a reservation, you may choose another type of payment upon arriving at your dining location. I usually end up using Disney Gift Cards or cash. A credit card is also required for reservations even if you already have a Disney Dining Plan added to your vacation package.

I hope this helps you while planning, Cindy! Please stop by real soon if you have additional questions.

    Best magical wishes,
