Making ADRs for our first trip to WDW March 13-18 (just booked it last week). Of course some restaurants have no availability. What is the possibility of showing up and getting a table @ some of the Character Dining Experiences or casual/resort dining?

Hi Michelle! Planning out and having some ADR's is always a good idea, especially during a busy Spring Break time frame like you're looking at. I totally understand last-minute planning though, as that's how we usually do it, being locals! Normally I would say if you go at off times (like when restaurants first open or when the service is about to end) you might get lucky with some walk-ins, but with Spring Break, that just might not be the case. I'd keep trying to call back or check online, first thing in the morning when the phone lines open is your best bet, and see if there are any cancellations. Hopefully you can get one or two of your favorites booked and wing it for the rest. You just never know if someone will cancel the day of, so you may luck out with a walk-up table.

You will probably be better off checking some of the more quiet resort dining options vs. a character meal. If you are looking for a character breakfast, check out Beach Club's Cape May Cafe, which is usually less-crowded than places like Crystal Palace or Chef Mickey's. Non-character resort dining will probably be easier to find an ADR for as well.

    Best of luck!!
