I will be making my ADR soon. I would like to have breakfast at the Crystal Palace at 8am, but I am concerned about getting there on time. MK does not open until 9am that day. Is there any chance that buses run early enough to make that reserved time?

Hi, Lisa! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks for bringing us this great question!

I am a big fan of early morning Advanced Dining Reservations because it gets you inside the magic all that much sooner! There are special “breakfast buses” that run especially for Guests with early Disney Restaurant reservations, and I have yet to miss my reservation by using Disney’s Complimentary Resort Transportation. That being said, I HAVE heard of Guests who ran a little late, so my ultimate advice would be to take a taxi, Uber or, if available, the new Minnie Van service-if it is available from your Disney Resort hotel. I suggest speaking to your Lobby Concierge the day before your meal to see what time they suggest that you make your way to the bus (or Resort Monorail).

Make sure to stop to take a few photos in front of Cinderella Castle as there are very few Guests in Magic Kingdom Park at that time, and Disney’s PhotoPass Photographers will already be there for you! Finally, since you will be dining at The Crystal Palace (my husband’s all-time favorite Disney Restaurant), might I suggest filling your plate with “Pooh’s Puffed French Toast”? It is SO DELICIOUS!

Have a magical vacation and please come and see us again real soon!
