major difference between the two disney water parks? We have two adults going.

    Hi Lenora ~

Spending the day at Disney's Blizzard Beach or Disney's Typhoon Lagoon is the perfect way to cool off any day of the year! Since you mentioned that you have two adults going, I'll focus on that versus kid activities.

The theming of these water parks is totally different with different story lines. Blizzard Beach is themed after a ski resort following a freak snow storm leaving Florida blanketed in white. When it starts to melt, an enterprising alligator saw an unique opportunity and turns it into a water park. It is a very colorful park complete with a ski lift. Typhoon Lagoon has a more beachy tropical feel and was created after an epic storm sends everything on the island flying and stranding Miss Tilly (a shrimp boat) on top of Mt. Mayday.

Both parks have versions of lazy rivers and similar water slides. Each has its own version of wave pools but the one at Typhoon Lagoon is huge and the waves are literally big enough to surf in. In fact, they offer surf lessons.

Typhoon Lagoon has a brand new attraction, Miss Adventure Falls that is fun for everyone. It has quickly become a very popular attraction.

Thrill attractions are found at both parks including Summit Plummet at Blizzard Beach which drops you down a steep 120 foot drop. Typhoon Lagoon features the Crush 'n' Gusher "water coaster".

Honestly, both are great and you can't go wrong with either one. If you want a more relaxed feel, I'd recommend Typhoon Lagoon. If you are looking for a little more excitement, head to Blizzard Beach.

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
