What is the major difference between moderate resort and value resort aside from the price?

Hi, John!   It can be a tough decision when picking your Disney Resort.   When deciding between Moderate and Value, here are your differences:

-SIZE:  Moderate Room: 314 square feet   Value Room:  260 square feet
-RESTAURANTS:  Moderates:  Food Court plus Sit Down Restaurant (French Quarter must walk down to Riverside as these resorts share one sit down restaurant.)  Value:  Food Court only.
-POOLS:  Moderates have pool slide and better themes, Values have more basic pool areas.  Pool towels available pool side at Moderate, must bring towels from your room at Values.
-BATHROOM SINKS:   2 in a Moderate Room (exception: 1 sink in rooms at Coronado Springs.)  1 sink in bathrooms in Value Rooms.
-PROPERTY:   The grounds are better landscaped and nicer atmosphere at a Moderate vs. a Value.

Overall, if your room is a place to sleep, shower, and run off to the magic, a Value Resort is sufficient.  If you have older kids and want a bit more room or plan to spend a lot of time at your resort, the upgrade to a Moderate is nice.

Good luck deciding and I hope you find the perfect resort for your vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
