Hi there, Jaynee!
I'm so glad you stopped back by planDisney to discuss your upcoming stay at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside! I think you'll find that its picturesque setting on the Sassagoula River makes it the perfect place to enjoy a leisurely resort day. Of course, no resort day is complete without some quality time in one of the incredibly-themed Disney Resort hotel pools, so let's dive right in to your question!
Ol' Man Island, the main swimming hole at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, is quite popular among Guests as it features bridges, cascading waterfalls, and a 95 foot-long waterslide. Although this particular pool is not zero-entry, there are pool lifts and additional access options available for Guests who are unable to enter the pool using steps. This is also true of
Doubloon Lagoon, the pool located
just around the (Sassagoula) Riverbend at the neighboring Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter, which you also have access to as a Guest of Port Orleans - Riverside. I'm particularly fond of this pool which features jazzy alligators and a sea-serpent slide!
If a zero-entry pool is a must-do for your upcoming vacation, Jaynee, I'm happy to share that there are two options available to you that are likely comparable to your current reservation! Both
Disney's Art of Animation Resort and
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort feature zero-entry pools and, as an added bonus, are also located on the
Disney Skyliner!
I hope this was helpful, Jaynee, and that your upcoming vacation goes swimmingly. If any additional questions arise as you continue to plan, feel free to
stop back by. I'm always happy to help!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
