Will the main hotel pool be open March 2026?

Hiya, Sara! Thanks for swimming on over to planDisney and sharing your question with us.

The resort pool is always a topic of conversation whenever my family is planning our next Walt Disney World adventure. In fact, it might be one of the most important factors we consider after budget, which is not nearly as much fun to debate. So let’s dive in and get you the info you need!

Without knowing which Walt Disney World Resort hotel you're staying at, I looked for any advisories about springtime pool closures across all of Walt Disney World. I found two that overlap with your visit.

    - The Bay Cove Pool at Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort will be closed for maintenance from January to early May 2026.

    - The Surfboard Pool and Kiddie Pool at Disney’s All-Star Sports will be closed for maintenance from January to late April 2026.

Maintenance and repair schedules are subject to change, so keep an eye on your hotel's webpage as your arrival date approaches. Any closure advisories will be posted there.

If your concern is weather-related, then I’m happy to report that Walt Disney World Resort hotel pools are open year-round (schedules and availability subject to change) and heated to a comfortable 82 degrees Fahrenheit (approximately). Pools may be closed due to storms or dangerous weather conditions, but I can tell you that my kiddos have been able to enjoy swimming during the winter months and have had a blast. They did not have as much fun getting out of the pool…

Sara, please feel free to send me a message directly if you have additional questions about your specific resort. I hope you have an amazing time on your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation!

    Magical travels!
