Hola Karen! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We're so glad that you're here with your planning question. We are always happy to help.
It looks like you have a vacation to the Most Magical Place on Earth this summer. Yay! I love visiting the Walt Disney World Resort in June and July. The energy and enthusiasm is high! It's also a great time to take advantage of the fantastic resort swimming pools.
Karen, I am happy to tell you that your mom will have no problem checking in to your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel before you arrive as long as she is a confirmed guest on your reservation. I frequently travel with family arriving from different airports and flights, and although I am always the lead guest, my parents and siblings have never had an issue checking in without me.
Your mom should go to the front desk at your resort with the reservation information. If your mom plans to remain at the resort until your arrival, she can pick up your MagicBand as well as her own, and you can reunite at the resort; however, if she will be out experiencing a theme park or shopping at Disney Springs prior to your arrival and will not be present when you reach the resort, she should leave your MagicBand at the front desk for you to retrieve on your own.
Once you have both reached your destination, let the memories begin! There are so many exciting things to experience at the Walt Disney World Resort this summer. Keep your eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for up to date information on new attractions, summer entertainment, and special events. I love traveling with my mom, and I wish you both a magical vacation together.
¡Buen viaje!
Betsy
