Welcome Nicole!
You have a fantastic itinerary chosen for your upcoming Disney Cruise Line vacation! One-way sailings are such a treat because you start somewhere and when you disembark you have the chance to have a whole new adventure in that destination! Add a
Very Merrytime themed sailing on top and you have a wonderful vacation at sea planned!
Sailing out of New York City provides a backdrop quite like no other! My family sailed out of New York City this past fall and it was so fun to see the iconic NYC skyline as you head out to sea. We, like you, had main dining and we had the opportunity to see the Statue of Liberty before our dinner service. Not only that, but we passed by when the sun was starting to set creating an incredible sight to see! Main seating is scheduled for 5:45PM, but you always have a 30 minute window to be seated and still receive a full dinner service. So, if you are still enjoying the views as you head out of Manhattan, no need to rush down…just try to make it there by 6:15PM and you will still have sufficient time to enjoy your dinner service and meet your dining room servers!
With a few sea days on your itinerary, you will have time to truly explore and enjoy everything that Disney Cruise Line has to offer onboard. As your vacation approaches, take time to explore the onboard activities such as a character breakfast, spa services (highly recommend the
Rainforest Room for the ultimate relaxation experience), and adult-exclusive dining.
As your planning continues, please come back with any additional questions you may have!
