My main confusion is parking. My question is if I want to start a day at Animal Kingdom I have heard they don't start parking until 15 minutes before opening. Someone please suggest the best parking to be in line early!

On our most recent trip to Walt Disney World, we drove our car to the Animal Kingdom for an early morning tour.

We were there early. A Cast Member told us they were opening the lot at 7:30 a.m.

The parking lot opened at 7:30 a.m. for a 9:00 a.m. opening. Even with an 8:00 a.m. Advance Dining Reservation, guests will have plenty of time to park and get to the gate, especially since early arrivals will park close enough to walk to the front entrance. There will be a tram waiting for those that choose not to walk.

I understand your concern as we have encountered many mornings at the Animal Kingdom park when the parking lot tollbooths were closed until near park opening time.
Hopefully the 7:30 a.m. opening is now a regularly scheduled time as there were also guests in taxi cabs waiting behind us!
