Aloha, Trisha!
Welcome to planDisney. It’s so nice to have you! This coconut souvenir has become a core memory for my family. It was a couple of summers ago when my youngest sister was unable to join us on a trip. Her only request was a “cool souvenir,” so this coconut was on the top of our list. We actually spotted it at the
Polynesian’s gift shop, which is a quick
monorail ride from Magic Kingdom. Before heading that way, I recommend checking
Plaza del Sol Caribe Bazaar inside Magic Kingdom by Pirates of the Caribbean before heading over to Disney’s Polynesian Resort.
My fellow panelist,
Jessica, was told by a Cast Member that these mailable coconuts come from a third-party vendor, so their availability varies. Unfortunately, there’s no telling if they will be there during your visit, but I can only hope that they are. She did mention checking one other location, and that is
Calypso Trading Post at Disney's Carribean and Beach Resort. Depending on where you are staying, this might be a bit of a journey, so I recommend making this your last resort.
If you are on the hunt for unique souvenirs, I also recommend checking out the different offerings available at
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. I remember bringing home packets of seeds to my grandmother for her garden during the last festival. However, she chose not to plant them because the packaging was “too cute.” The seeds still were a fun and unique souvenir to bring her back especially since she still has them.
Trisha, I hope that you can find the mailable coconut! As you embark on your search, and if it does, take you to the Polynesian. I recommend taking a snack break at
Pineapple Lanai! They have one of the best DOLE Whip floats! Plus the view of Cinderella Castle from the Polynesian makes is beautiful.
Enjoy your visit and if there's anything else you need, we're the 'Ohana you never knew you had, so please feel free to ask away.
Aloha,
Shantel
