Can you still mail a package to the Disney Cruise Line Warehouse prior to your cruise date to have it delivered to your stateroom?

    Ahoy, Jacqueline!

Welcome aboard planDisney! It sounds like you’re trying to pack smarter, not heavier—and I tip my captain’s hat to that strategy. Who wants to be weighed down by bags when you’ve got sailings to savor, soft-serve to swirl, and sunsets to soak in?

Now for the not-so-magical news—Disney Cruise Line has retired the option to mail packages to the cruise terminal or warehouse for stateroom delivery. I know, it’s not quite the hakuna to your matata. But don’t let it get you down! Just like Miguel found a way through the Land of the Dead, there are still a few creative ways to lighten your luggage load before you board that beautiful ship.

If you're sailing out of Port Canaveral and plan to spend a night or two at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you’re in luck! You can send a package to the resort ahead of your arrival. There's currently a $6 per-package handling fee, and I definitely recommend including your arrival date and “Guest” on the shipping label to make sure it finds its way to you—no magic mirror required. Just remember: allow plenty of time for delivery, and tracking info will be your best sidekick.

If you're embarking from another port and staying at a nearby hotel the night before your cruise, I suggest giving them a quick call to ask about their policy on receiving mail for Guests. My crew and I have found that policies vary more than a carousel of character outfits—some hotels welcome it, others place restrictions based on length of stay or package size.

One final tip from my family’s adventures at sea: if you’re worried about space in your luggage, consider packing an extra foldable duffle bag for souvenirs and other treasures you’ll collect along the way. Trust me, we’ve come back with more Disney merch than we planned for more than once—and having that extra bag ready to go was a total lifesaver when it came time to pack up for home!

I hope this helps you navigate your pre-cruise plans with a little less stress and a lot more sparkle. You’re one step closer to that magical moment when the ocean breeze hits your face and your vacation officially begins!

Sea ya real soon as May brings sunshine, magical ports, and maybe a Mickey bar or two,
