We would like to mail our kids' wristbands used while on the Disney Magic Cruise Line from a few weeks ago. How do I do so? What address do we send them, so that Disney does not charge me / refund the wristbands?

    Hi Peter,

Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney! I hope you had an amazing time aboard the Disney Magic – there's nothing quite like a Disney Cruise Line vacation! I especially hope your children enjoyed exploring the Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab onboard (and that you enjoyed some much-needed relaxation while they were there).

I spoke with Disney Cruise Line today and confirmed that you cannot return the bands used in the Oceaneer Club onboard after you have disembarked; there is no address to mail them to unfortunately. The small fee per band will be listed on your stateroom folio; if you need a new copy of your itemized room charges, please call Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532.

Good news though – you can reuse these bands on a future Disney Cruise and not be charged again. These will work on all ships currently in the Disney fleet, and their expected battery life is approximately two years. If you took advantage of special savings for a future cruise vacation while on your previous cruise through the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app, that next sailing will be within this time frame. Please note while they look similar, the technology is different than a MagicBand or MagicBand+ and the Disney Cruise Line bands cannot be used at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Like pirates bringing home treasure from their adventures, Guests are welcome to keep the bands as a souvenir. You can have them as a keepsake with other cruise thingamabobs or perhaps your children will enjoy imaginative play wearing them or putting them on a favorite stuffed toy.

Next time you cruise and receive new bands, the details of a potential fee are shared upon check-in to the Oceaneer Club and return instructions are included in the disembarkation guidance.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions, Peter - we're here to help!
