    I have Magicbands from our 2015 trip. Our next trip is going to be in 2017 and I want to get new Magicbands (my grandson wants different colors), how do I assign new ones when the old ones are still there in My Disney Experience?

    Hi, Tom!

    I don't know how Mickey Mouse and his team figure all this out, but believe it or not, each guest can have multiple active MagicBands that are interchangeable. If you choose not to use your old ones and want them to no longer be connected to your My Disney Experience account, you can just click on that band, and hit "inacative." 

    To do this:
    -Log into your My Disney Experience Account
    -Go to MagicBands and Cards
    -Click to change to "inactive" on the MagicBand of choice

    You an always make that MagicBand active again, so this is not a forever choice. My kids have every color of MagicBand, and they bring several each trip and wear what ever color strikes their fancy that day! Just make sure to reactivate any old bands if you switch them to "inactive."

    So tell your darling grandson that he can not only get a new color, but bring along the old one to change things up a bit. If you have any concerns that they are active, take them to the front desk and a Cast Member will happily check all your MagicBands for you.
