Welcome to planDisney! Very glad that you're thinking about purchasing
MagicBand+ for your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation. MagicBand+ is one of the most stylish ways to express yourself while making your vacation a little easier. You can use MagicBand+ to enter the parks, make purchases across the resort, unlock your Disney resort room door and more. Personally, I love the fact that when I'm enjoying the evening entertainment in the parks my MagicBand+ comes alive with haptic vibrations and lights. It's so much fun, and my kids really love it when all of our bands light up together.
You can purchase MagicBand+ online via the
Disney Store. Considering the fact that your visit is in April, you do still have time for shipping so check out their selection soon if you plan to order. If you'd rather wait until you arrive on Disney property there's also a large selection of bands available at the different retail locations inside the parks and at the resort hotels. On my recent trip this February, I noticed that the largest in-park selection of bands was available inside
Celebrity 5 & 10 at Hollywood Studios. This can vary and may not be the case when you arrive. You can also check out the selection available at
World of Disney in Disney Springs.
After you purchase your bands, be sure to link them to your My Disney Experience account. There are
a few easy steps that you'll need to follow, and your MagicBand+ might need updating when you open the package. Allow some time for these steps as well as charging - your bands will need to be charged for you to experience some of the cool features like the haptic vibrations and lights (but they will not need to be charged for you to enter the parks, use the Lightning Lanes, unlock your room door, or make purchases).
While we're talking MagicBand+, don't forget that this accessory is the easiest way for you to access any
Lightning Lane products that you might purchase. You'd scan your band at the Lightning Lane entrance for your booked attractions and walk right through. In some instances you may need to scan a second time later in the queue, but this is the fastest way to utilize the Lightning Lane.
