We have MagicBands from previous trips. They are the old style. How do we know if they are still working? If I've put our tickets into My Disney Experience, how do I know if they are linked to the MagicBands that are active? Is that automatic?

Hi Donna! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I'm happy to hear that you are returning to the Walt Disney World Resort very soon! There are always new things to see and experience at my favorite vacation destination and it keeps me coming back for visit after visit. I know you will have another great vacation!

As a general rule, MagicBands have a battery life of about two years. However, I have experienced longer battery life than that and have friends that say the same. If your MagicBands are less than 4-5 years old, I recommend bringing them with you and trying them out, but also have your tickets (cards) with you just in case. Try the MagicBands at the entrance and if they don't work, just use your cards instead and either continue to wear the MagicBands that day or place them in your bag. I have my fingers crossed for you that they will still work!

If your Walt Disney World theme park tickets and your MagicBands are both linked in your My Disney Experience account, then they are auto-magically linked to each other! How awesome is that? Disney truly makes it easy and convenient to connect all of the pieces of your vacation puzzle!

I hope this information helps with your last-minute planning, Donna! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
