Hiya Jason!
Welcome to planDisney, and thank you so much for stopping by to ask us this question! I always get so excited when I answer questions from fellow Canadians, and I am thrilled that you are planning a vacation to the Most Magical Place on Earth! Plus, the Walt Disney World Resort has so many great tools to help make your vacation more convenient.
One of my favourite things about Disney is that Guests' safety is always of utmost importance, allowing guests from all backgrounds to have a carefree and magical vacation. After searching through
shopDisney, I found that MagicBand+ devices and previous editions of MagicBands are made of "Thermoplastic polyurethane/electronics." However, after chatting with a Cast Member online, I was advised that you should
call the Internet Help Desk at (407) 939-4357 to be completely sure it would be a safe option for you.
In the meantime, you can also look through the other services available to use your theme park tickets! First, you can always stop by the front desk of your Resort hotel or a Vacation Planning window at the main entrance of any of the theme parks to get a plastic card. My favourite service, however, is the
Disney MagicMobile service which only requires an iPhone, Apple Watch or Google Pay-enabled Android smartphone. The Disney MagicMobile service lets you download your theme park ticket into your digital wallet, so you can simply tap your phone to the card reader and get into the parks! This also works with any Lightning Lanes you may have, and you can even use the
My Disney Experience mobile app to
unlock your Resort hotel room.
I hope this was helpful, Jason, and that you will have the best day ever on your next Walt Disney World Resort vacation. If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your trip, please don't hesitate to reach back out. Like with the Mickey Mouse Club, you're as welcome as can be here at planDisney!
Have a magical day,
Ariane
