A MagicBand+ (second only to the
My Disney Experience app) is one of the best tools out there for living your best life while on a Disney World vacation. With one, you can tap into the theme parks, enter
Lightning Lane queues, open your Disney World Resort hotel room door, make purchases to be added to your hotel folio, and even scan for your
PhotoPass photos and videos.
Unfortunately,
MagicBands+ are no longer complimentary for Disney World Resort hotel Guests. I know that this isn’t the news you were hoping for, but you don’t have to wait until you arrive at Disney World to get your hands on them. Before your trip, visit the online
Disney Store website to buy a band that truly represents your favorite Disney fandom (I love the Tiana and classic Mickey & Friends styles). You can also buy them from your hotel’s gift shop, at
Disney Springs, or at the theme parks once you get into the Disney bubble. I love seeing the colors and themes that other Guests choose.
AN EXTRA GEM: If you’d rather not use a MagicBand+, you can still get by without one. I like to use my phone (
Disney MagicMobile) or my Apple Watch sometimes. You can use a physical ticket, too. Disney always provides us Guests with options galore!
