I have a Magicband from 1 and 1/2 years ago. How can I tell if the battery is still good

Welcome to planDisney Joyce. Thanks for passing by with your question. I love my souvenirs and this particular one is very useful while at the parks

MagicBand and MagicBand+ is one of my favorite tools while I am visiting the Walt Disney World Resort. These little beauties help you get around the resort and allow you to have all your info on your wrist. It will hold your room key if you are staying inside of the magic at one of the many Disney Resort Collection Hotels. It will also hold your park tickets and a method of payment if you decide to add them to your account. The older version of MagicBand usually lasts about 2-3 years. The one you have now from nearly two years ago may be really close. This of course depends on how long it sat on shelves before you purchased it. There is no way to test them besides bringing them with you.

If for some reason your older MagicBands have seen better days I would recommend the newest version. There are a couple of reasons why to upgrade to MagicBand+. My favorite reason is the rechargeable option. You will be able to use this for years to come even if you miss a couple of years in between. All you will have to do is charge them up before your visit. MagicBand+ also allows you to interact with certain experiences and activities. It will also of course have all of the same options as the first version.

Hopefully, this information is helpful for planning your visit. If you have any other questions about your stay stop by planDisney.com again.

    Have a magical day,

    Jeremy A.
