Hi Adam, and a big sunny Florida welcome to planDisney! I’m so glad you stopped by with this great question. MagicBand+ is my absolute favorite,
and useful, accessory, and getting it ready for your upcoming trip is a must to guarantee the most pixie dust during your visit!
Adam, to answer your first question, yes, your
MagicBand+ will typically light up when it’s placed correctly in the charging cradle. It’s a nice little “Hey, I’m alive!” moment. If you don’t see any lights, try adjusting the band in the cradle to make sure the connectors are touching just right.
Now, to store it, I always recommend giving it a full charge first, then powering it off to help preserve the battery. MagicBand+ devices don’t love being completely drained for long stretches, so a little charge before nap time is perfect. I usually tuck mine somewhere cool, dry, and easy to find later, because nothing is worse than tearing the house apart looking for it the night before a park day! Mine lives in my car, because you just never know when a last-minute Disney adventure can ensue, and I want to have it handy.
When you’re ready to wake it back up for your next magical adventure, just pop it back on the charger, and bibbidi, bobbidi, boo! It’ll be good to go!
I hope this helped answer your questions and keeps your MagicBand+ charged, happy, and ready for its next pixie-dusted moment!
If you have any additional planning questions, don’t hesitate to reach out! We’re always hEAR and happy to help!
See ya real soon,
