    Can a magicband be purchased ahead of time without staying at a disney resort?

    Welcome back, Brenda!

    Magic Bands can be purchased from the Shop Disney app or the Disney Store website. There you will find specialty Magic Bands, such as Star Wars themed and most of your favorite Disney characters. 

    Once you purchase these Magic Bands online, you can have them shipped to your home. Once they've arrived, just enter the unique ID code on the back of the Magic Band, by signing into your My Disney Experience account and linking it! Now your Magic Band will be all set for your next visit. 

    Visit the website as often as you choose! New character Magic Bands become available frequently. 

    Also, if you've stayed at a Disney resort before, you can use a previous Magic Band for your upcoming visit!
