Can I use my MagicBand to pay for food and other items if I am NOT staying on Disney Property?

    Hi Amanda,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I hope you're having a BLAST thinking through all of the details of your trip and counting down the days until the magic and fun begin! So exciting!

While all Guests are able to use MagicBands to enter the theme parks, hop in FastPass+ queues, and link Disney PhotoPass photos to their accounts, only Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel may use the MagicBands to enter a room or make dining or retail purchases. There's currently no way to link a source of payment to a My Disney Experience account other than through a Disney Resort hotel room, so you'll simply want to make sure that you bring some form of payment with you into the theme parks. You know, all Guests are able to use mobile ordering, however, so if you'd like to save some time waiting in line for food AND be able to pay through the My Disney Experience mobile app, I'd definitely recommend this wonderful service!

Thanks so much for stopping by, Amanda, and please let us know if we can help with anything else as you're planning your trip. I hope that you have a truly magical vacation!
