Andrew from Mid Glam Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

My magicband+ will not charge. Three seems to be life in it if it's connected to the charger but the app will not show a status and also i cannot preform an update. My partner has a band also and his has charged so i have tried both chargers.

Hi Andrew! Thanks for bringing your issue to planDisney.

I think you'll love having a hands-free option while visiting Disneyland Resort. Your bands will let you scan into both the parks and Lightning Lane Entranes without pulling out your mobile device and opening the Disneyland mobile app. It's so convenient! There are also great interactive features that will surprise you throughout the day as the band lights up and buzzes along with select Entertainment and Attractions.

However, to enjoy your bands we need to get to the bottom of this problem! Technology issues are frustrating, so let's see what we can try. Since it seems as if the band has a charge but isn't reacting with the Disneyland mobile app, I think you should try a factory reset. I can briefly walk you through how to go about this!

Press and hold down the button on the back of the band for 15 seconds. The band should buzz once, twice, and once again while lighting up green. Open your mobile device and go to your Bluetooth connections. If your band appears in the list, you'll see a connection called MagicBand+ with 4 alpha-numeric characters which will match the combination printed on the back of your band. Forget that connection and restart your mobile device. After you power your mobile device back up, press and hold the button on the back of the band for about 3 seconds. It should light up blue to indicate it is in pairing mode. Open the Disneyland mobile app, tap the three-bar menu on the bottom right side, and scroll down until you see the "MagicBand+" link under "Account." Tap the link and follow the onscreen prompts to pair your band.

Other tricks you can try are updating your mobile device and the Disneyland mobile app to make sure your hardware and software are the latest available or turning your band on and off. To turn your band on and off, press and hold the button on the back for about 6 seconds. When it buzzes twice, it should be off. You'll know when it lights up red and rotates in reverse once. Press and hold for another second to power back on. It'll turn green when it's back on.

If you don't figure out the issue before you arrive for your magical visit, you can speak to a helpful Cast Member at Guest Services, who can attempt to help you with your band. Hopefully, they can get to the bottom of the problem with your band!

    Have a magical day.
