    What is a MagicBand?

Hi Tamara! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

It sounds like you are planning a Disney Destination vacation and are figuring out all of the fun and unique features that make a Disney vacation super convenient! I am happy to help you with all of the details!

MagicBands are currently used at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida as your key to your Disney Resort hotel room, the ticket to enter the theme parks, access to FastPass+ lines, obtaining PhotoPass photos from photographers and attractions, Disney Dining Plan entitlement use, and even linking to a credit card for charging to your Disney Resort hotel account. Isn't it amazing how one little bracelet is capable of making your entire vacation a breeze?

When you book a stay at a Disney Resort hotel, you receive a complimentary MagicBand as one of the many benefits of staying on Walt Disney World Resort property. If you are staying off-property at another hotel in the Orlando area, you can purchase a MagicBand at many merchandise locations in the theme parks or Disney Springs, or you can use your ticket (card) instead.

Hopefully this information helps a bit as you plan your visit to Florida, Tamara! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
