Does the magical express pick up at the Sanford/Orlando airport? If not what is the best way to get to Disney from there?

    Welcome, Patricia!

I see that your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is just a couple weeks away! I'm so excited for you to head south for the amazing adventures that await at The Place Where Dreams Come True!

My family and I always look for the best airfare deals for our trips to Orlando to hang out with Mickey and his crew. That way, we have more money to spend enjoying the parks! Sometimes we've found that flying into the Sanford Orlando airport is a bit less than flights into the Orlando International Airport. The problem comes in that Disney only offers the Magical Express complimentary motor coaches for Disney Resort guests flying into the Orlando International Airport. The price difference for flights is usually minimal from our city, so we opt for the Orlando International Airport flights so we don't have to pay for transportation to the resorts once we arrive. It's so nice to just sit back and let Disney do the driving.

However, since it sounds like you've already got flights into the Sanford airport in Orlando, let me give you a few suggestions on the easiest, least expensive ways to make your way to your Disney Resort. Lyft and Uber operate all around Orlando, and my personal experience with them has been fabulous.  You can land, grab your luggage and quickly book a ride through the app, and before you know it, they'll be pulling up to get you at the airport. You can even do a price check before you book with them, and if you're a first time user, be sure to search online for first time user codes to get a discount on your ride. Sometimes they offer the codes for an entire week or month, meaning you might even save on your return ride to the airport too!

Another option is to rent a car. If you choose to do this just for the one day, be sure to rent from Alamo Rent-a-Car or National Car Rental, because both operate rental centers not only at Sanford Airport but also at Walt Disney World's Car Care Center, which means much easier returns, closer to your resort. Plus, you can rent another from the Car Care Center to return to the airport.

Additionally, you might search for private transfers and find one that fits your budget as well, Patricia. There are plenty out there and not all of them cost a fortune, so do a bit of online research to find a good one!

I hope those suggestions help as you prepare for this magical adventure!
