Disney's Magical Express

Will the Magical Express still deliver luggage to your room without you being there? I read since Covid that someone needs to be present for room deliveries. I was not sure if that meant luggage too or just groceries and other deliveries. Thank you.

    Hi Beth!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

For me, Disney's Magical Express is the last leg of a very long day's travelling, and it means I am ALMOST HOME!!  My friend, and fellow panelist Lori is visiting Walt Disney World, and she used Disney's Magical Express yesterday and was able to give me the latest updates.  The current advice is that luggage delivery is not available at this time, and Guests are being asked to claim all luggage from the Baggage Claim area and bring it with you to Disney's Magical Express check-in desk so that it can be loaded onto your motorcoach for transport to your Resort.  As with everything, this is an evolving situation so luggage delivery may be available when you take your trip in December.  Be sure to check the documents that are mailed to you, along with your luggage tags, and if you need to ask any questions please call (407) 939-1936.

There may be some slight changes, but we are happy to say that Disney's Magical Express is still running as normal.  When you check-in, you'll notice hand sanitizers, reminders to socially distance and protective plastic guards on the desk, and when you board the motor coach you may be asked to leave two rows of seats between each party.  If you wish to tip your driver when you arrive at your Resort, I have been advised that cash is acceptable for gratuities, even though in most other situations it is recommended that all Guests use cashless or contactless payment options when you can.

At this time, during the phased re-opening of Walt Disney World, we may need a little more considered and careful planning, but our holidays to Walt Disney World Resort can still be a magical experience.  Please read this information about Returning to a World of Magic and keep your eye on any new posts from the Disney Parks Blog as more official details are announced.

We know you have many questions about what this all means for your upcoming visit.  Please know we are working to be able to answer your questions as quickly as possible, and we look forward to providing an update as soon as we have more information to share.  Come back and ask as many questions as you like!  We are always happy to help you plan your vacation.
