Hey there Margaret! Thanks so much for submitting your question.
Disney's Magical Express service to and from the Orlando International Airport requires each guest to make a reservation. These reservations are required as Disney wants to make sure that each guest has a seat on the motor coach and will make it in enough time back to the airport once their magical vacation is over.
At the end of your Disney vacation, you will receive your motor coach boarding pass. It will be let on your resort room door or slid under the door of your resort room. If for some reason you don't receive this letter, please stop by the front desk of your resort to secure a copy.
On this letter/boarding pass, the time will be given as to when you will be returning to the airport. Each
Magical Express bus arrives and departures the resorts at different times. A set schedule is not available, as they do not operate like the resort transportation buses. For domestic flights, guests must be ready to depart their resort four hours before their scheduled flight. So for your 5:55pm flight home, you're a magical ride back to the airport will be around 1:55pm that day from your resort. Not boarding the motor coach at the time listed may result in you and family not having a seat on the bus. Also, don't forget to drop off any bags that you want checked at the
Resort Airline Check-in, located outside near the entrance of your resort before noon to ensure that your luggage makes it to your flight.
When my family has wanted to experience the magic of Disney until the very last minute, we've opted not to use the Magical Express service back to the airport and secured a taxi, Uber, or Lyft. This, of course, is an extra charge but it was worth it to soak up as much Disney as possible before going home!
Happy planning,
Korliss
