Is there still a magical bus?

    Hello Maryanne,

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question! It looks like you'll be arriving during EPCOT's International Flower & Garden Festival. Be sure to spend some time admiring the gardens, sampling the delicious food around World Showcase, and enjoying the Garden Rocks Concert Series

The magical bus I think you are referring to is Disney's Magical Express, a motorcoach bus service that was complimentary for all guests staying at a Disney Resort Hotel. This magical service ended in 2021. However, there are still several options for getting from the airport to your resort, you'll just need to do a little advance planning.

Mears Connect and The Sunshine Flyer are motorcoach bus services that most closely resemble Magical Express. In fact, Mears Connect is run by the same company that provided transportation for the shuttle service that Walt Disney World guests used for so many years. The Sunshine Flyer is a newer company with buses themed like old fashioned railway cars.

Another popular option for smaller groups is using a ride share service, like Uber or Lyft. Keep in mind that right now Uber and Lyft have safety guidelines in place that prevent passengers from sitting in the front seat, so vehicles that used to seat 4 now only seat 3, and XL rides that used to seat 6 only seat 5.

A private car service is an often overlooked alternative. There are several companies that provide this service and have an extensive range of vehicles, from sedans and SUVs for smaller parties to vans and buses for larger groups.

Finally, you may want to consider a car rental. If you've never rented a car for your Walt Disney World vacation, you might enjoy the freedom it provides, especially if you plan to dine at different resorts during your stay. Disney transportation is fantastic, but it's nice to be able to get to another resort without having to take multiple modes of transportation.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!
