Having the ability to access things such as your park tickets right from your smartwatch is not only convenient but cheaper seeing that you won't have to purchase a MagicBand. As an avid Android user, I can only imagine what it is like to have that access from your watch. My wife, on the other hand, does use her Apple Watch to set up her
Disney MagicMobile during our vacations, so I will be happy to share our experiences.
I am sorry to say that your MagicMobile pass will not allow you to open your resort room with your smartwatch. You can, however,
open your door with your smartphone via your My Disney Experience app. As long as your reservation is linked to your My Disney Experience app when on your trip, you will open your app and select your reservation. You should then see and option to "Unlock Door". You will need to have your Bluetooth on so you can hold your phone up to the pad of the door which will open it.
I'm sure you are already aware of all of the great things your My Disney Experience app has to offer to make your vacation so much more convenient. Some of these options are taking advantage of
Merchandise Mobile Checkout and
Mobile Food Ordering. With Merchandise Mobile Checkout, at select stores throughout the parks, you will have the option to scan your purchase, pay for it through your app and bypass the checkout counter with your purchase. This can save some time when you do find yourself doing a little shopping so you can spend more time experiencing the attractions.
Mobile Food Ordering from your app will save you so much time in line. Simply select which dining location you are requesting, which arrival time you would expect to be close and when you are, tap the "I'm Here, Prepare My Order" button to let the Cast Members know you are ready to eat! This can save you a ton of time in the parks from waiting in long lines and allow you so much more time to enjoy the parks!
