Howdy Kimberly, and welcome back to planDisney!
It's so nice to see you here again with another great question. We appreciate your patience as we assist all Guests anxious to join us for the
holiday season and
50th-anniversary celebration. It's quite an exciting time to be planning a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth!
Disney MagicMobile Service is the newest way to simplify your arrival and entry into the theme parks. Using the
My Disney Experience Mobile App, you can set up a Disney MagicMobile pass for anyone in your My Family & Friends List. Your entire party can redeem admission and enter a theme park using just one Apple device! My family and I tried this last summer, and even though we all had
MagicBands on that trip, it was fun to test out this new feature. My little ones preferred to scan into the theme parks themselves, but it was nice to know we had a backup plan in case someone left their MagicBand in the hotel room.
Kimberly, because a MagicBand is assigned and linked to
one particular Guest, you will not be able to use just one to scan your entire party into the theme park. Each member of your group needs a MagicBand or Key to the World card to enter the theme park using this method. Should you forego the purchase of new MagicBands and don't bring them from a previous visit, stop by the front desk of your
resort hotel or Guest Relations to pick up Key to the World cards. The sparkly new 50th-anniversary designs are adorable!
I hope this is helpful! In short, Disney MagicMobile has access to all Guests in your My Family and Friends list, while MagicBands are only associated with one person. No matter how you choose to enter the theme parks on your upcoming visit, I recommend picking up a set of shiny new Key to the World cards. The special edition 50th-anniversary celebration cards will make great souvenEARs! Thanks so much for sending another question our way, and we can't wait to welcome you back home real soon.
Have a magical day!
Betsy
