We will be going to magic kingdom on Thursday August 30, 2018 & we want to get there early enough so we can get some graduation pictures taken in front of castle. How can we do that and how early . Thanks for any information Julie from Michigan

    Hi Julie,

Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Congratulations to your soon-to-be-graduate! A photo in front of the iconic and beautiful Cinderella Castle makes for a perfect way to capture any special moment or event. It's especially memorable if you have been capturing that magic over the years. I love looking at all our Cinderella Castle family photos taken over the years and seeing how our son grew from infant to college kid.

My first suggestion is to check out the Park Hours online calendar. Look for the Magic Kingdom scheduled park opening time and also look to see if there are Extra Magic Hours for that day. I'd suggest arriving about an hour before the park opens. Magic Kingdom Guests can enter Main Street, U.S.A. prior to the park’s scheduled opening time to enjoy the atmosphere and take in the Main Street, U.S.A.vibe. Let the Magic Begin will welcome Guests as the official greeting.

You can expect to find talented and friendly Disney PhotoPass photographers ready to capture great pics of your happy graduate. You might even want to dress your graduate in some cool and fun graduation gear!

I'm sure your graduation photos in front of Cinderella Castle will be most memorable.

    Enjoy your Disney!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
