Greetings Candice and welcome to planDisney!
I consider Disney’s Wilderness Lodge my home away from home! I am a Disney Vacation Club member and one of our home bases is Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge! There is really nothing better than spending time during the autumn and winter months settled into a comfy chair next to the blazing fireplace in the magnificent lobby at the Wilderness Lodge! It is good for the soul!
Another thing that is good for the soul is a hug from Dopey and a riveting conversation with The Queen! You will find that plus an amazing meal at
Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White! Let’s get you to that dinner reservation. The easiest and most scenic route is by water taxi from the Magic Kingdom. The ride takes about 10-20 minutes across Seven Seas Lagoon. You’ll pass by the Contemporary Resort, and sometimes you’ll get to see the monorail fly right by you! The boat docks at the northern end of Wilderness Lodge and you will be able to walk on the wooden boardwalk up to the main lobby where Snow White and her friends (and others!) are waiting for your arrival!
You could also take the Wilderness Lodge bus from the Magic Kingdom, and that journey would take you between 10-15 minutes plus whatever bus stop waiting time you would have.
Candice, to get to
Chef Mickey’s at Disney’s Contemporary Resort from Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, you would normally be able to use Disney’s complimentary transportation options like the bus system or the monorail, but with your early reservation time of 7:40am those modes of transportation would not be operating yet. The bus system generally begins 45 minutes before the theme parks open. During the week of September 10, 2026, the Magic Kingdom early entry hours begin at 8:30am so the bus routes would begin around 7:45am which wouldn’t work for your reservation time.
My suggestion would be a ride share service that you can pre-arrange in a smart phone app to pick you up at Caribbean Beach and deliver you to Chef Mickey for your breakfast feast! You could also sprinkle the pixie dust that day by calling on the
Minnie Van service connected by Lyft! That would be the perfect partnership, travelling with Minnie to go visit Chef Mickey!
After your breakfast is finished, you will be able to hop on the monorail or use the walking path from the Contemporary to get to the Magic Kingdom for your return trip to Caribbean Beach on a complimentary bus. Or just stay at the Magic Kingdom and enjoy the day on Main Street U.S.A!
Candice, have a great adventure and don’t forget to save room so you can enjoy a Mickey Bar or two!
