Hello Deborah! Welcome back to
planDisney, and thanks for sending another great question our way.
Cinderella Castle looks more stunning than ever these days, as it sparkles and shines with a fresh coat of paint in honor of its upcoming 50th birthday celebration. While fireworks and nighttime spectaculars are not currently part of our world, I find myself content to relax on the lawn in the hub and gaze upon Cinderella Castle as the day comes to a close. On a recent visit, I sweetened my situation by enjoying a snack from nearby
Sleepy Hollow.
At this time, there are no evening projection scenes displayed on Cinderella Castle, but I suggest following the
Disney Parks Blog for news regarding evening entertainment. Last November, I caught the holiday projections as they lit up the night, and they were fantastic! I'm always amazed at what Walt Disney World does with projection mapping technology, and I can't wait to see what they come up with in the future.
While we await the return of nighttime spectaculars in the theme parks, I find myself seeking out other evening activities these days. My family and I have enjoyed swimming in our resort pool after dark, winding down with a
movie under the stars, and exploring dessert options at our resort after park closing. Our little Mouseketeers fall asleep to the sound of
Happily Ever After fireworks playing on our in-room television. While our evening routine has changed a bit, we have discovered new experiences and new favorite ways to spend the after-dark hours on our Disney vacations.
Thanks again for stopping by, Deborah. Just like you, I'm excited for the return of many Walt Disney World experiences. Although some aspects of our visits
look a little different these days, we find that our magical escapes are more important than ever, and we cherish every one.
Have a great, big, beautiful tomorrow!
Betsy
