Hiya Paul!
Thanks for reaching out to planDisney regarding your special New Year’s Eve visit to the
Walt Disney World Resort. I’m happy to share what you can expect today on this busy, exciting holiday.
Yes, you may absolutely leave the park and return so long as you have a valid theme park ticket and a
theme park reservation for Magic Kingdom today. I know there can be some uncertainty when there’s rumors of a theme park reaching capacity on a busy holiday, but please be assured that the theme park reservation process is in place to protect you. With that reservation, you are welcome to come and go without worry.
Magic Kingdom Park is open until 1:00 A.M. today, so I understand wanting to take a mid-day break from the stimulation and excitement or to rest before heading back for the evening. On this special day, December 31, 2023, you have the chance to see the festive
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade at both noon and 3:00 P.M. Then tonight, look to the sky for the magnificent
Fantasy in the Sky fireworks display at both 6:30 P.M. and 11:50 P.M. to properly ring in the new year.
If you have any more questions today in the park, please stop by the helpful
Guest Experience Team for a quick response. Find them under the blue umbrellas where they can support your questions about the park’s capacity, attractions,
My Disney Experience, Lost and Found, and more.
Wishing you a safe and amazing day to close out 2023!
Cheers to a magical new year,
Amy
