Welcome to planDisney, Kevin!
What a "practically perfect" way to finish 2022 and welcome in the New Year! There's nothing like singing 'Auld Lang Syne' in the Most Magical Place on Earth.
Kevin, you can absolutely leave
Magic Kingdom Park, enjoy a nice rest, and then head back for the evening. Your
theme park reservation is good for the whole day. In my experience, you should have no problem getting back into the park when you return. However, I should say that on very rare occasions, theme parks can be so full that they no longer let people in. However, this is very rare. I would anticipate you being fine. However, it is New Year's Eve, so you'll be taking a risk.
Are you staying at a
Disney Resort Collections hotel? I love the
benefits of staying on property, such as
extra time in the parks and complimentary transportation. The location of Disney Resorts is also a great benefit. Guests can enjoy being in such close proximity to the theme parks that heading back for an afternoon nap is ideal. As a Disney dad, with two young Mouseketeers who need a mid-day break during our theme park days, it's great being able to conveniently get back to the hotel.
I hope you have a great time, Kevin. Thanks for stopping by planDisney.
Mike
