When does the magic kingdom opening ceremony start? What time should I catch the bus from Saratoga Springs to get there in time? Can you rent a wheel chair before the park opens?

Hi Kathryn, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

There is nothing like stepping onto Main Street, U.S.A. at Magic Kingdom Park and beholding the sight of the majestic Cinderella Castle in the distance, especially first thing in the morning. New park opening procedures at Magic Kingdom Park allow guests a little extra time to do just that, with guests now being able to enter onto Main Street, U.S.A. approximately one hour before Park opening to grab a quick breakfast at the Main Street Bakery, shop for souvenirs at the Emporium, take a photo in front of the Castle, or just leisurely soak up the atmosphere as the Park gets ready to come to life.

After you have enjoyed all of the sights, sounds and offerings along Main Street, U.S.A. you will want to make your way down to the Castle Forecourt Stage where the new Let the Magic Begin opening ceremonies take place. The show will kick off each morning approximately 5 minutes before Park opening time, with Mickey and the gang taking to the stage to officially open the Park for the day.

If you are traveling to Magic Kingdom Park from Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, you should plan to arrive at your Resort's bus pick up station at least one hour before your intended Park arrival time. In order to ensure that you arrive in time to see the Let the Magic Begin show, I would recommend that you aim to arrive at Magic Kingdom Park at least 45 minutes prior to Park opening.

Upon arrival at Magic Kingdom Park, you will be able to rent either a wheelchair or ECV (Electronic Conveyance Vehicle) prior to Park opening at a location on the right-hand side after entering the Park tapstiles.

Wishing you a most Magical upcoming vacation!
