Hi Carla, welcome to planDisney!
Virginia is for Disney lovers and I'd love to answer your question about visiting Walt Disney World Resort over Thanksgiving. The holidays kick off at Walt Disney World in early November, literally overnight. Mickey wreaths, beautifully decorated trees, and the sounds of the season make the immersive transformation complete. By the time Thanksgiving rolls around, the various Disney Resorts Collection hotel
gingerbread displays have been assembled and the
Disney Parks Blog has already released several holiday Foodie Guides. It's
the most magical time of the year!
Magic Kingdom park will most certainly be open the week of Thanksgiving, Carla.
Park hours are currently listed through mid-July, but I expect November park hours to be released sometime in September. Thanksgiving week is a busy time at Walt Disney World so I encourage you to get your
park tickets and secure your
theme park reservations, which are both required for theme park entry, as soon as you are able.
When making plans for a Thanksgiving meal, please note that advance dining reservations can be made
online 60 days in advance of arrival. Guests staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel may make reservations for the duration of their stay, up to 10 days. If you're looking for traditional Thanksgiving fare, I highly recommend
Liberty Tree Tavern at Magic Kingdom park. Their Oooey Gooey Toffee Cake is a food memory just waiting to be made.
I'm so thankful you stopped by planDisney with your question, Carla. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any other questions.
A fellow Virginian,
Jennifer
