Hi Nikki!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is just around the corner! Are you getting oh so excited?
The
Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade is very popular in my house. You know how "kids today" love to watch viral videos of other kids unwrapping toys or playing video games? My three-year-old loves to watch Disney Parades, and this is his absolute favorite. I can confirm that during the week of your visit the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade
will start at 2:00 P.M.
I've only ever seen this parade start from Frontierland, make a 10-to-6 clockwise rotation in front of Cinderella Castle, and head down Main Street U.S.A. And we've enjoyed this procession many, many,
many times over the last two years, both in person and online. A quick internet search did show the same conflicting information you've seen, but those posts are a few years old. However, what I like to do in other Disney Parks where parade routes do alternate is to ask Cast Members to confirm that day's direction. (Ask at Guest Relations or City Hall as those Cast Members have a daily guide for all events in
Magic Kingdom Park that they can use as a double check.)
Pro Tips: Try to claim your perfect parade viewing spot about an hour before the start time. I prefer the curbed areas of Main Street U.S.A., but there really isn't a bad seat in the house. The first float won't be seen here until about 2:15 or 2:20 P.M., which gives your crew a bit of extra time to find the perfect parade snack. And you're more than welcome to bring a blanket to sit on!
"Away We Go", and We'll See You Real Soon, Nikki!
