Will be at Magic Kingdom Next Friday the 16th during regular hours and for the Christmas Party. How long is the Christmas parade usually? Where would be a good viewing position in consideration of the parade and other activities going on before and after?

    Hi Amanda,

You are going to love Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party!  My favorite place to view the parade during this party is from the hub right in front of the train station inside the gates to the Magic Kingdom.  I watched the parade from this vantage point last year at this time.  It was magical!  Of course, any spot along Main Street USA would provide good views of the parade.  Although I've never timed the parade, I imagine that the whole parade from start to finish probably takes 20-30 minutes to view.  It all goes by so quickly, though!  Plan to be in position to watch the parade 30 minutes before the start time.

Being near the train station during the parade provides the added advantage that you are near the theme park exit in case you wish to depart after the parade.  This will make returning to your vehicle or resort a speedier process.

Wishing you a magical holiday visit to Walt Disney World next week!
