Going to Magic Kingdom. Need to drop off a member in our party as close as possible to the TTC before actually parking as they aren't able to walk very far. Plan to rent a scooter once inside Magic Kingdom. Is it possible to drop off and where?

    Hello Becky, welcome to planDisney!

As someone who has frequently had to be very mindful of accessibility for family members - particularly when picking up and dropping them off in the most convenient spots possible, I'm always in search of the best strategies that can make this process as painless as possible. This is especially important when you're visiting right around the holidays at a place like Walt Disney World Resort, so I'm happy to lend as much insight as I can to help:

    • At the current time, guests can continue to be dropped off at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) at a designated loop right by where area hotel shuttle buses and taxis also unload their passengers. When I was dropped off here recently, I noticed quite a lot of signage directing guests to Buses and Taxis, and there are nearby restrooms as well as covered areas with bench seating where your party member can wait for you before you all proceed through security together.
    • While this is accurate at the time of writing, policies may always be subject to change and routes may be diverted without prior notice - so be sure to let the Cast Members responsible for managing Parking know that you'll be dropping off a guest so that they can direct you to the appropriate location to do so during your visit. (This currently appears to be very common for folks taking advantage of rideshare options; if it helps at all, choosing Minnie Van Service can drop you off right in front of Magic Kingdom Park itself for the most convenient option if you're willing to pay the added cost!)
I hope that this helps, Becky! That last week leading up to Christmas can be quite busy, so be sure to pack an extra bit of patience - especially as you decide to split up when you park your vehicle, and when finding a spot on the Express Monorail. While you're here, be sure to check out planDisney on the Disney Parks Blog with our latest tips on everything to experience at the Disney Resort Hotels over the holidays

Here's hoping the Cast Members can help you with an easy drop off on your next visit!
