Hi Maureen,
Welcome to planDisney!
While your arrival date is approaching soon, you still have some time! If you arrive and your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel room is not yet ready, I suggest storing your luggage with Bell Services at your resort hotel and heading to the park as long as you have valid theme park admission! Be sure that you have done
online check-in so that you will receive notification when your room is ready. Prior to heading to the park, I do suggest that you stop by the front desk and check with a cast member so that they know you are at the resort hotel.
My family often arrives on an early flight, stores bags at Bell Services, and then we hop on
Resort Transportation to the parks. We will spend a few hours at the park and then head back to the resort hotel when our room is ready. I like to unpack, relax a little, get settled in and then head back out later. From time to time, our room has been ready earlier, so that has been wonderful, especially if we had a super early flight and can take a quick nap prior to heading to the parks.
I also like to make
advanced dining reservations at our resort hotel. So, sometimes, I will make a reservation for a late breakfast or early lunch hoping that our resort hotel room will be ready by the time we finish eating. If it is, we can simply check into our room, unload our bags, and then head to the park.
Maureen, I hope this helps! The good news is that you will have some options. Just remember to grab some food. Once we head to the parks, we all want to ride, so I have to be sure we stop to eat. One final tip - if you have not yet considered Memory Maker, I highly recommend. We treasure all of the Disney PhotoPass® Service photos we have from our visits now that our girls are teenagers!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
