Season's greetings, Morgan!
Welcome to planDisney, the most magical place on the internet! I am so glad you stopped by to ask us this very merry question, as I myself am so excited for the Holiday season to start, and these questions always get me in the Holiday spirit! Besides, there is no better way to ring in the season than by experiencing the Walt Disney World Resort's unique offerings for that time of year!
Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade is usually offered as part of
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and only plays during the night. However, Disney has sometimes granted a Christmas miracle and brought the special parade to regular daytime hours outside those special events. Since we do not know for sure if this will be the case again this year, I would highly recommend that you keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog in the time leading up to your trip, as that is where you will find the most up-to-date Disney news.
Now, Morgan, although many of the Holiday activities will have ended by the time you arrive at the Walt Disney World Resort, that doesn't mean you can't still spread the Holiday chEAR! The Holiday decorations get taken down at the beginning of January, so you will still be able to enjoy them upon your arrival. Similarly,
the gingerbread displays at select Resort hotels are usually kept after Christmas. I was also able to enjoy
Disney Springs' Christmas Tree Stroll after New Year's Eve as well in the past. Lastly, you will be able to enjoy all the celebratory offerings available on December 30th and 31st only to kick off the new yEAR. With so many unique activities to experience, you'll still have plenty of opportunities to enjoy the Holidays.
I hope this was helpful, Morgan, and that you and your Ohana will have the best day ever on your next Walt Disney World Resort trip. If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your vacation, please don't hesitate to reach back out. Spreading the Holiday spirit is always such a treat!
Have a magical day,
Ariane
