We will be at Magic Kingdom on March 23. We have an ADR at Whispering Canyon at 8:30. I know we can take the boats to Wilderness Lodge, but what is the best way to get back to All Stars Movies after we eat? Thanks so much!

Hey there, Sarah. Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. I love visiting Walt Disney World in March. The weather is just perfect, I bet you are getting so excited!

Whispering Canyon Cafe is such a fun place to eat. I was taking a look at the current menu and it sounds yummy. A few things have changed since I dined there last and now I want to make a reservation for myself to check it out. I'll be visiting Walt Disney World around the same time as you - you never know we may just bump into each other.

I was taking a look at the theme park hours for March 23rd. Currently, Magic Kingdom Park is open from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. I'm assuming you are having dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe at 8:30 p.m. since you are trying to get back to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel afterward. Currently, transportation to and from the Walt Disney World Theme Parks runs 45 minutes prior to opening and up to 1 hour after closing. Keeping that in mind, you might not actually be able to take the water taxi over to Disney's Wilderness Lodge from Magic Kingdom Park that night. You'd have to arrive for your dinner reservation pretty early to make that work. Disney's Hollywood Studios and Epcot are both open until 7:00 p.m. on March 23rd so depending on your plans, you could always take a bus to dinner from there. Also, Disney Springs is a great hub for getting around. Hop on a bus over there and then change lines to your final destination.

Because your dining reservation is later in the evening, the most convenient option is going to be to take a taxi or use a ride-share service to get back to Disney's All-Star Movies Resort after your meal. I've used ride-share services to get all over Walt Disney World property and they are quick and pretty affordable. You can be picked up right in front of Disney's Wilderness Lodge's lobby and dropped off in about the same spot at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort. If you want to use the complimentary transportation service, I'd suggest taking a bus after dinner to Disney Springs. Bus to and from Disney Springs operates until 11:00 p.m. Once at Disney Springs, you can switch bus lines over to Disney's All-Star Movies Resort.

Keep in mind that theme park hours change often. I wouldn't set this plan in stone until it gets closer to your vacation. I've noticed theme park hours have been being adjusted until a week or two out. I hope this helps, Sarah. If you have any questions before your trip, I'd love to help

    Enjoy!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
