Hi Tammy! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! When it comes to dining in Disney, I am so excited to help answer your question! Eating at the Walt Disney World Resort makes my heart sing. I feel like there is so much thought put into menus and so much effort put into making sure there is something that everyone can enjoy.
The Plaza Restaurant is kind of a hidden gem. There is a good variety of food to choose from (think burgers, salads, sandwiches) and the dessert is scrumptious. I love sharing a milkshake with my husband. The décor reminds me of being inspired by the turn of the century. There are mirrors and a gorgeous solarium.
Liberty Tree Tavern is actually one of my favorite restaurants in all of the Walt Disney World Resort! This colonial style restaurant will transport you back to the days of our founding fathers. Your meal will be served family – style, and is all you care to eat (and I suspect you may want to eat and eat!) You just may find yourself drooling over the carved turkey breast, pork, and roast beef, and they all seem to melt in your mouth. Some of the sides include green beans, mac and cheese, stuffing, salad, deliciously sweet rolls, and more! Dessert is “Johnny Appleseed’s cake” or “Ooey Gooey Toffee cake” complete with ice cream and caramel sauce. Dining at this restaurant with my family gathered around the same table, telling tales of our adventures in Disney, reminds me of all of my childhood memories gathered around the Thanksgiving table. I have always loved the food here, the service has been great, and I always leave with a full belly and a full heart!
I would like to recommend that whichever restaurant you choose, that you try to secure an
advanced dining reservation.
I hope that you and your family have a magical time!
