We will be at Magic Kingdom in July with 4 kids, 2 who have ADHD & Asperger's. We know we will have some melt downs waiting in lines & it becomes a domino effect with all 4. What details from our Dr. do we need to share with Guest Relations for a G

    Hi Jennifer,

As far as I know, a physician's note isn't essential to getting a Guest Assistance Card. However, it will help the cast member make sure you get the assistance that you need. You will need to head over to Guest Services with your child/children when you arrive at the park. Depending on your needs the card will often provide you with alternative queues or areas that will make waiting much easier.

If you choose to bring a physician's note, simply write something explaining your child's diagnosis and the problems that you foresee. For example, note if his/her diagnosis causes an inability to wait in crowded areas for extended periods of time. Again, it doesn't have to be anything long, and shouldn't be necessary to getting the help you need, but it will expedite the process.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
